Stafford International School is one of the oldest and sought after international schools in Sri Lanka with a rich and long history of more than 70 years.

The foundation of the school’s long journey was established with the opening of the Stafford College for Boys in early 1950s. Later on, Stafford Ladies College was instituted in 1959 as one of the few schools dedicated for the education of female students in Sri Lanka at that time. Amalgamating both Stafford College for Boys and Stafford Ladies College, Stafford International Schools was established in 1986. The school is located in one of the prime locations in Colombo 7 with an area of 200 perches of company owned land.

Stafford International School is one of the pioneers in the international school arena that follows the British Curriculum. It is also an approved center for both Cambridge IGCSE and Edexcel IAL Examination Boards.

Guided by the motto “Strive Towards the Light”, the school offers one of the best balanced and diverse educational program incorporating arts, sports, and community service.  Currently, the school has a student body of over 1000 with a teaching and administrative staff of more than 130.
